Three coffee mornings have been arranged this year and we are grateful to everyone who offered to host one. They all start at 10:30am and finish at 12:30pm. The cost is £2 (includes coffee). The person holding the coffee morning may also ask for a contribution to, or sell plants for, their favourite charity.
Margaret Lewis’, 2 Taberness Close, Broadwas-on-Teme WR6 5NF
Margaret writes that her garden isn't themed, it contains lots of plants that she's grown from seeds and cuttings and plants known by the names of friends old and new. It also contains thugs that every year she regrets not removing. Still she loves her garden and it always comes before croquet. There is an article on the history of the garden in the spring newsletter.
Vivienne & John McGhee. 'Half Acre', Main Street, Aldington, Nr Evesham WR11 7XB
'Half Acre' has been under development for 4 years, with still much to be done. It is planted with a mix of perennials and shrubs with a small collection of fruit trees and raised vegetable beds. Enter the village from the B4035 Evesham to Badsey Road and follow the road uphill in Main Street. Half Acre is on the left as the road bends to the right. Very limited parking nearby so please follow directions.
Lynda Niccolls', 70 Park Avenue, Worcester WR3 7AQ
A garden with mixed planting of perennials, shrubs, occasional annuals and a large vegetable patch, managed organically. The soil is sandy and dries out very quickly. Heading north out of the city centre towards the A449 and M5, Park Avenue is the second turning on the left past Gheluvelt Park, opposite PS Kitchen shop. There is plenty of parking.
